Pierce Park is Boise’s premier par-3 course and putting green. The small course is nestled near Hill Road and is one of the most accessible courses due to not having any tee times. The course is open Monday-Sunday from 8 am to Dusk. One round of the 9-hole course is $10. If you want to go around again to make it a full 18 holes, pay just $4 more. The course is owned by two accomplished golfers who have played at the state, collegiate, and national levels. Thanks to their experience with the sport, their club fitting and sizing programs have garnered multiple national awards from brands such as Ping, TaylorMade, and Tour Edge.
Quail Hollow Golf Course – 4720 36th St, Boise, ID 83703 (208) 344-7807
Quail Hollow is nestled in the Boise Foothills and has become the favorite golf course for foothills residents. The course was built in 1982 and features 6,325 yards of playable area. A large part of the fun of Quail Hollow comes from its use of elevation changes, strategic hazard placement and random wildlife sightings. It’s very common to see deer, foxes, rabbits, and a variety of birds on the course. To aid the player, the Quail Hollow Website provides tips for how to play each hole. Tee times are accepted 7 days in advance. Green fees cost $24-$34 with discounts for juniors, seniors, and playing after 2:30 pm.
Crane Creek Country Club – 500 W Curling Dr, Boise, ID 83702 (208) 514-4340
Crane Creek, like Quail Hollow, is tucked away in the Boise Foothills. Crane Creek is located just off Bogus Basin Road and is near Highlands Elementary School. The country club was built in 1963 and features a recently-renovated 18-hole golf course, a 10-court tennis complex, a fitness center, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. The pool hosts numerous city swim team meets throughout the summer. Crane Creek is open Tuesday-Sunday 6 am-6 pm.
Warm Springs Golf Course – 2495 E Warm Springs Ave, Boise, ID 83712 (208) 343-5661
Warm Springs is one of the local favorite courses. The course’s placement next to the Boise river and the Greenbelt add to its beauty and accessibility. The course is open from sunrise to sunset 7 days a week. Green fees are $24-$33. Kids under 17 and seniors over 62 are lower rates. Annual passes are also available to buy. They sell out quickly, however, so act fast if you want one. Keep an eye out for special deals, which include range ball buckets and Pro Shop equipment.
Hillcrest Country Club – 4610 W Hillcrest Dr, Boise, ID 83705 (208) 343-5425
Hillcrest is located at the intersection of Overland and Orchard Streets. The course was originally 9 holes when it was built in 1925 as the Idaho Country Club. In 1958, It was renamed to Hillcrest and the other 9 holes were added. The club has garnered a reputation of excellence due to it hosting the Boise Open. The Boise Open is a stop on the Web.com Tour in mid-September, and has one of the largest purses on the Tour. The event is always well attended and attracts national talent. The club also features a swimming pool that hosts city swim meets as well as a fine dining area.
Indian Lakes Golf Club – 4700 S Umatilla Ave, Boise, ID 83709 (208) 362-5771
Indian Lakes is located in southern Boise, which allows for wide open spaces, mature landscaping, and mountain views. The bar and restaurant have a variety of options for filling pre- or post-play meals and drinks. The affordable 9-hole course allows golfers of every skill level to be challenged and succeed. 9 holes regularly cost $19 and 18 holes are $31. Boise Ranch Golf Course sits in southwest Boise and offers a full 18-hole, championship inspired course. The course also features one of the longest par 5’s in the state of Idaho! Green fees are $24-$26 for 9 holes and $34-$43 for 18 holes. Twilight golfing is always $25.00. Season passes are also available.
